About Hitchcock Woodworking

Who We Are

Hitchcock Woodworking is a family-owned custom woodworking shop built on craftsmanship, integrity, and long-term relationships. Founded in 1988 and now proudly second-generation, we specialize in custom cabinetry, built-ins, and architectural millwork for homes throughout New Hampshire and Vermont.

Our work is rooted in the belief that well-built cabinetry should last, function beautifully, and feel intentional in the space it’s designed for.

A Generational Craft

Hitchcock Woodworking began as a small, hands-on shop focused on doing things the right way—using quality materials, proven techniques, and careful attention to detail. Over the years, that approach earned the trust of clients, builders, and designers across the region.

Today, the business continues as a second-generation operation, carrying forward the same values while incorporating modern tools and processes to meet the demands of complex, custom projects. Many of our clients return for multiple projects over time, and some have worked with our family across generations.

How We Work

We approach every project with the mindset of a partner, not just a vendor. That means listening carefully, planning thoroughly, and staying involved throughout the process.

Our team combines traditional woodworking skills with modern design and fabrication methods, allowing us to take on detailed, custom work while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.

What We Build

Our work includes:

  • Custom kitchen and bathroom cabinetry

  • Built-ins for mudrooms, offices, libraries, and living spaces

  • Architectural millwork and wood detailing

  • Custom doors, panels, and specialty pieces

All work is built in-house and tailored to the specific needs of the home and project.

Where We Work

We are based in the Upper Valley and work throughout the Lake Sunapee region and surrounding areas of New Hampshire and Vermont. Our regional focus allows us to stay closely involved and deliver the level of quality and service our work requires.

We take pride in building work that lasts and relationships that do the same. Whether you’re planning a new build, renovation, or custom cabinetry project, we value clear communication, thoughtful design, and craftsmanship you can rely on.
