Custom Cabinetry
We design and build custom cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces throughout New Hampshire and Vermont. Every cabinet is made to fit your home precisely—no stock sizes, no shortcuts, and no outsourced production.
All cabinetry is built in our shop with a focus on durable construction, clean design, and long-term function. From layout and materials to finishes and installation, we manage the entire process to ensure consistency and quality from start to finish.

Built-Ins
Our custom built-ins are designed to integrate seamlessly into your home’s architecture. We build mudrooms, home offices, libraries, media units, and storage solutions that balance function, proportion, and craftsmanship.
Each built-in is planned around how the space will be used, with careful attention to detail, trim integration, and finishes that feel intentional—not added on. The result is custom work that elevates the space while serving a practical purpose.

Architectural Millwork
We create architectural millwork that adds depth and character to a home without overwhelming it. Our work includes custom trim, wall paneling, beams, mantels, and detailed wood elements tailored to the style and scale of each space.
By focusing on proportion, consistency, and clean execution, our millwork enhances the overall architecture and ties rooms together. These details bring a refined, finished feel that only custom craftsmanship can provide.
Featured Projects
Concord Formal Kitchen
This formal kitchen was built for a private residence in Concord, Massachusetts, and reflects a classic New England aesthetic with refined architectural detailing. The project features custom beaded inset cabinetry designed to complement the home’s traditional character while providing modern functionality.
The kitchen includes fully custom cabinetry with balanced proportions, integrated appliances, and carefully detailed moldings that reinforce the formal style of the space. A large central island anchors the room and provides generous workspace and seating, while the surrounding cabinetry offers abundant storage and seamless appliance integration.
All cabinetry was fabricated in our New Hampshire shop using premium materials and precise inset construction. The result is a timeless kitchen that blends traditional craftsmanship with the clean lines and durability expected from high-end custom kitchen cabinets.
Hitchcock Woodworking builds custom kitchen cabinets and architectural millwork for homes throughout New Hampshire, Vermont, and the greater Boston area.
Quechee Lakes Custom Millwork
Set within the Quechee Lakes golf community in Vermont, this summer retreat was designed as a refined yet expressive second home, a place to entertain, unwind, and gather after long days on the course. Hitchcock Woodworking provided the custom millwork throughout the residence, varying tone and material from room to room while maintaining architectural continuity across the property.
From the two-story cathedral great room, where we fabricated custom miter-folded white oak trusses, to the turned solid wood newel posts and custom baseboard installed throughout the home, this project reflects a fully integrated millwork approach. Every built-in, trim profile, and architectural millwork detail was crafted by our team as part of a cohesive system, ensuring each element feels original to the structure.
Throughout the home, we produced cabinetry that shifts in character and material: a bold green dressing room with island, his-and-hers vanities in soft blue with a dedicated makeup desk, walnut reeded doors, oak-stained vanities and office cabinetry, and a rec room featuring brass inlay accents. We also built the walnut dry bar framed in high-gloss painted paneling and lined a custom wood box in aged copper, reinforcing the balance between resort living and precision craftsmanship.
Norwich Mega Modern
This expansive modern residence in Norwich, Vermont features custom cabinetry and millwork throughout the home, designed to complement the architecture’s dramatic scale, clean lines, and panoramic views. Hitchcock Woodworking fabricated cabinetry for multiple spaces within the home, bringing together a wide range of materials, finishes, and modern detailing to create a truly one-of-a-kind interior.
The kitchen and surrounding living spaces showcase bold contemporary design, including high-gloss painted cabinetry, micro-Shaker doors, and integrated brass hardware that adds warmth and contrast to the sleek surfaces. Towering ten-foot walnut cabinets anchor the space, complete with a rolling library ladder that provides access to the upper storage while emphasizing the home’s impressive ceiling height.
Throughout the project, a variety of materials and textures were incorporated to create visual depth and interest. Leather-faced cabinet doors, decorative metal drawer fronts, and carefully selected paint finishes introduce subtle variation while maintaining the home’s modern aesthetic. Integrated appliances, clean lines, and precise detailing ensure the cabinetry feels seamless within the architecture.
Fabricated in our New Hampshire shop, each piece was crafted with careful attention to proportion, material selection, and modern functionality. The result is a striking contemporary interior where bold materials, custom craftsmanship, and architectural scale come together in a distinctive modern Vermont home.
